Hello,

we are getting following OID in SNMP, which we do not find:

1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.0.151

We can find 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.6.1.101.0  but no further objects in there. So maybe there are more, that do not work

Is there someone who could tell me, where to find them ?

best regards

Axel

just for curiosity - what information should be stored in that OID? Or whats the object name of that OID?

Hi,

This is our Problem. we get this OID via SNMP Trap into the Management System, which then says, that this is not defined.

What I could find so far is:

    Translate OID into object name or object name into OID to receive object details

    Enter OID or object name:
     examples -
    OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.27
    Object Name: ifIndex

    Ah, understand, that's TRAP OID your receiving. It should be assigned to "STP status Forwarding" event mapped to port. Especially this one:

    rldot1dStpPortStateForwarding NOTIFICATION-TYPE
        OBJECTS   { rndErrorDesc, rndErrorSeverity, rldot1dStpTrapVrblifIndex, rldot1dStpTrapVrblVID }
        STATUS  current
        DESCRIPTION
            "The trap is sent by a bridge when any of its configured ports
             transitions from the Learning state to the Forwarding state."
        ::= { rndNotifications 151 }

    Cisco SNMP Object Navigator is not very useful in case of Cisco SMB class. It is rather useful for Enterprise class devices.

    There is MIB available for your switch to download. It contains MIB definitions of all traps and MIB OIDs used by SG switches. If your NMS support importing those MIBs, then I suggest you to import them all.

    Traps are located in dedicated file "CISCOSB-traps-mib.mib" but they have only represented by name, not by OIDs.

    Hi Michael,

    meanwhile I got the Info to update the Switches to the latest Firmware and also update the MIB and load them to the Management System.

    I hope this will solve the Problem.

    best regards

    Axel
