BGP Load sharing with single APNIC IP Lan pool

Hello,

I have one APNIC IP Pool(/24) which advertise on both ISP. We configure BGP for auto failover. But can we use BGP for load sharing as We have single LAN Pool i.e. Our APNIC IP Pool on router. Can we do by dividing Single IP pool in to two (i.e. One Pool of 128 & other Pool of 128 ) & then do a BGP load sharing . Is it possible ?

Please suggest us. Also let me know if there is another solution because i need to use both ISP.

Hi,

If you advertise the /24 to both ISPs, you should already have load sharing, as each provider customers will use the local provider network to get to your /24.

Advertising a different /25 on each ISP is possible, but will not help as ISP won't propagate prefixes longer than /24 to their upstream provider. This is to avoid aggravating the Internet routing size.
