Hello,
I have a problem with 2 endpoints on my site.
One of them is a Tandberg 6000MXP and the other one is a Cisco SX20.
The Tandberg has encryption set to auto with AES-128 and the Cisco SX20 has BestEffort configured.
When the endpoints call each other they will sporadically try to setup the encryption and it will fail, resulting in an automated voice telling the users it will not connect the call due to failed encryption.
But it also does work, but when it does there is no encryption. So the issue is somewhere to be found in the encryption.
This is happening with a SIP to SIP call. Is this normal behaviour? Is the Tandberg to old to understand the same level of encryption as the Cisco?
How could i resolve this?

Hi Yannick,
As per my understanding this encrypted call should work:
BestEffort: The system will use encryption whenever possible. > In Point to point calls: If the far end system supports encryption (AES-128), the call will be encrypted. If not, the call will proceed without encryption. > In MultiSite calls: In order to have encrypted MultiSite conferences, all sites must support encryption. If not, the conference will be unencrypted.

Hello,
Well that is weird then.
On what does this encryption rely, do they need a sort of certificate from the VCS?
I am unsure on how this puzzle falls in together.
