if registering a MX300 to CUCM 7.1.5 is possible (as a generic SIP endpoint)

I have a client asking if  registering a MX300 to CUCM 7.1.5 is possible (as a generic SIP  endpoint) as a temporary solution for audio only calling until they get  their VCS infrastructure installed in a few weeks.

We're having zero luck with it...anybody have thoughts, or is it simply a no-go?

I haven’t try this myself, but ideally possible to add MX300 on CUCM as 3^rd party SIP device with “Digest User  ” configuration.

The “xConfiguration SIP Profile 1 Type” should be select “Cisco” on MX300 and configure Authentication user name and password (match with Digest User parameter configured on UCM).
