NO Forced Authorization Code (FAC) Prompts for Telepresence Endpoints

Recently, we integrated CUCM with our billing system and started enforcing FAC on CUCM for long distance and International calls. Before we routed the calls to our legacy PBX and it would prompt for a FAC. Now that CUCM is asking for a FAC, the Teleprsence Endpoints do not give an audible or visual prompt. The only way i have found to dial this is with the long distance code followed by the FAC and #. However if the user enters something wrong there is no feedback and the call just acts like it's connecting, but doesn't. Using this method, if call history is turn on, the FAC get exposed in the recent calls. The FAC also gets exposed briefly onscreen when the user dials. Does any one know of a certain software version that  this is fixed in either on CUCM or the Telepresence Endpoints (CE code)? OR is this a fix that is coming?

Hi Peyton,

Telepresence endpoints running TC/ CE firmware does not support KPML and thus do not support FAC. This works as per the design and it is an expected behavior.

Hope this helps.
