All,

As the premier technical support community for Cisco customers and IT professionals, we recognize the importance of community participation to our success.  The Cisco Support Community (CSC) team is pleased to announce a new program designed to recognize and reward top leaders and contributors in CSC.  We will reward our most valuable members for their quality contributions through designations which will showcase their knowledge across the Web.

The CSC Expert Program is intended to become an industry leading program to recognize and reward the efforts of our top members in building the community’s knowledge base while helping thousands of other members. In today’s evolving world of Web social media, members’ recognition must be enabled to gain visibility beyond the boundary of CSC. The CSC Expert Program designations will allow members to showcase their status both within CSC and on leading social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

The CSC Expert Program’s Hall of Fame will be the first step of this initiative and will recognize the significant, long-standing leadership and contribution of several veterans of the community and Cisco employees, who have helped hundreds of thousands of other members of the community. In addition, a second, annual designation, the Cisco CSC Expert, will be rolled out in the coming weeks. This designation will recognize the individual achievement of members within one of CSC’s technology categories such as WAN, Collaboration, Data Center and Security.

To both groups of members recognized either as Hall of Fame Members or as CSC Experts, a number of benefits will be given to reward their contribution to the community. The benefits will include opportunities to engage more directly with Cisco executives and exclusive award materials, creating an industry leading experience for our selected members.

The inaugural Hall of Fame class includes seven outstanding contributors: Joe Clarke, Rob Huffman, Paolo Bevilacqua, Edison Ortiz, Jon Marshall, Giuseppe Larosa, and Rick Burts.  Please join me in congratulating them on their achievements.

Sincerely,

Tom Yoritaka
