Cisco UP Presence Engine[STARTING]

Hi,

I've changed the hostname on a Cisco Presence Server v7.0.4 and the only service that won't start is the Presence engine, it just stays in the 'STARTING' state. Does anyone know what the fix is? Thanks.

Hi,

Please verify if you have followed the proper procedure for changing the Hostname. Below is the doc for the steps to do in order to change the hostname.. I would advice to revert the changes and follow the below instruction to change the hostname..

Unfortunately I did not come across this document so I did not stop the services before changing the host name. Can this error be recovered easily?

Hi,

Well not really as it would require to make a lot of changes to be made in the DB..The simplest and fastest way would be to revert the change back and then follow the instruction..
