CUPC 8.5 and AnyConnect - DTMF Issues

Hi - I am having the following issue:

When users connect to the network via AnyConnect and dial a service such a WebEx they're not able to pass tones - for example they can not do "press 1 to oin a meeting" or even type in the meeting ID. However, they also have CVO routers available and those work just fine.

AND IP Communicator over AnyConnect works as well.

Any help would be appriciated.

Hi,

Please check if CUPC user is using the the conversation dial pad (not the dial pad on the CUPC windows itself) for entering PIN.

Thanks

Just an update:

They users are indeed using the correct keypad. When we do a packet capture on AnyConnect we see a SIP 404 message for every attempt to enter a key. The odd thing is on in RARE instances a single tone or two makes it through. For instance we dial 123456# we get an error saying "45" or a subset of the digits is invalid - which means SOME are making it through. The call does not end or anything with the 404 not found message but the DTMF just does not get passed. Again, while on the LAN - works fine. Also works fine with Unity Express over AnyConnect.

We're using software MTP on CUCM...

Furthermore, users are now reporting that they are not getting incoming call notifications while connected via AnyConnect.

Thoughts?

Hi Nathan,

seems we are running into the same Issue.

Did you find any solution for this?

Was the Test with IPCommunicator done for a SCCP oder a SIP IPCommunicator?

Thanks

Dirk

Hi,

did either of you get an answer to this one? I'm also seeing intermittant DTMF from CIPC.

thanks,

Stuart

Hi Stuart,

Did you resolve his issue?

Thanks

Amir

The intermittant DTMF was fixed by disabling RFC2833 under the CIPC config in CUCM.
