You can configure NTP as follows on a router/switch:

router # configure terminal

router(conf) # ntp master 1

* This will set the IOS router/switch as your NTP master with stratum level 1.

* You can check the local clock for the router using the following command:

router # show clock

* You can set clock using the following command:

router # clock set hh:mm:ss

While performing addition in CUCM setup, just enter the NTP address of the router/switch you just made as the ntp master and CUCM should be able to proceed fine with the installation.

You need proper stratum level NTP in order to install CUCM. If your CUCM has internet connection and you do not have internal NTP then point to public NTP which you could locate:

http://www.pool.ntp.org/en/

Chris , can you explain me more , this is first time for me , or give me example and steps.

Thanks Sood, I will do necessary now and feed you back

Hi,

Best would be to configure an IOS based NTP. Since you are installing cucm in lab you can also use another cucm or cuc server as an NTP server.

Thanks Aseem for your reply , can you give me example , because this is first time for me to configure CUCM
