Can I run the Application and the Scheduling(Web) servers on the same physical server, or do they require a dedicated serverfor each application.

Hi,

Just to let you know few things here, both are differnet.

Application server run's Linux, while, Web Server is installed on Windows platform so you need 2 or more boxes for the same.

But, just remember MP 8.5 new install does not support web server, only migration from previous versions. If you want to schedule web meeting you need to integrate your MP with WebEx cloud (so need a webex site) , otherwise with new install it's audio only.

I am upgrading from MPE 2.1 to MP8.5, audio only.  Customer would like to retain the Web scheduler function in MPE.  So, separate servers will be required, and I assume this would still be true in a Virtual environment as well?

Yes, right. No matter what is the case you need different server for application and web.
