Prime Collaboration Assurance - CUCM Undiscoverable

Hi,

We have an  issue with Prime Collaboration Assurance to manage the CUCM cluster.

When we discover the CUCM cluster we receive a state 'undiscoverable' for all servers in the cluster with status reason:

'Failed to manage the device. Do a re-discovery.'

We have configured the application users for HTTP/JTAPI access and the SNMP settings as stated in the deployment guide and docwiki document.

Unity Connection and SRST Voice gateway are discovered and in a managed state.

CUCM version is: 9.1.2.11900-12

Prime Collaboration Assurance Version is: 9.5.34267

Any idea how to troubleshoot/debug this?

Thanks

Luk

Hi Luke,

This could be firewall or wrong publisher credentials. I recommend you open a TAC case to have them go through the steps to review the deployment.

Hi Luk,

this could be due to the bug

Devices may go to UNDISCOVERABLE state in Prime Collaboration

CSCue02392

Symptom:
Devices, especially Unified Call Managers may show as being in UNDISCOVERABLE state in Device Work Center

Conditions:
This is known to occur when CSTM communication issues occur between Prime Collaboration processes

This bug tracks one specific issue where the assigned ports for communication are not in sync between all processes

Workaround:
Enter root access via SSH to Port 26

Ensure that the uncommented SERVER_PORT values in the following files are all 40050

/opt/CSCOpx/MDC/tomcat/shared/lib/ctm_config.txt
/opt/CSCOpx/MDC/tomcat/webapps/qovr/WEB-INF/lib/ctm_config.txt
/opt/CSCOpx/MDC/tomcat/webapps/cwhp/WEB-INF/lib/ctm_config.txt
/opt/CSCOpx/MDC/tomcat/webapps/triveni/WEB-INF/lib/ctm_config.txt
/opt/CSCOpx/MDC/tomcat/lib/ctm_config.txt

Further Problem Description:
Note that there can be other causes for CSTM communication issues besides this bug. If further assistance is needed, open a Service Request with Cisco TAC.

I have same problem with CPCA 10, CUCM 10,

When we discover the CUCM cluster, some CUCM node discovered and in a managed state but some CUCM discorer fail, we receive a state " unsupported "

all CUCM ( pub and sub ) verify SNMP,HTTP(s), JTAPI   " pass "

Any idea how to troubleshoot/debug this?

thanks

Hi,

I was just referring the bug even though it is not related to your versions.

Just have a look if it helps.

No validation for IP pattern discovery
CSCui99521
Symptom:
Device discovery does not run properly and finished in less than a minute. No inventory data is collected

Conditions:
This issue will happen if any of the Discovery profiles have an IP pattern such as 192.168.1.[10-20]. This regex expression is not supported, although there is no validation on it.

Workaround:
Remove the unsupported IP patterns and define them using the supported syntax.
