Upgrade CUPS to CUCM IM/Presence Server Restore issue

Hi All

I'm working on a CUPS upgrade from CUPS 8.6.3 to CUCM iM/presence 9.1.1b

Being in version 8.6.3, I need to do a refresh upgrade and this procedure is pretty similar to Fresh install.

Instead do the upgrade, I would like to do a fresh install using a backup from 8.6 to the new version. My worried is that when I want to restore the 8.6.3 backup into the new version, it doesn't work. I couldn't find any document from Cisco about it.

Is someone tell me if this is possible?. Is there any document where I can check this information?.

Backup and restore need to be done on the EXACT SAME VERSION from which you took the backup, so, no, your idea won't work.
