Anybody facing issues with configuring RAID in UCS M1 C200?

Hi,

I have a setup which requires installtion of VMware ESX on a RAID configuration of 1 + 0. I currently have Cisco UCS M1 C200 with LSI MegaRAID adapters, i also have 4 physical disks(500 Gb each) which i have configured for RAID 10, the resultant vd(virtual disk) is also seen while boot with the vd shown as online with 1TB space(which is correct) . The problem occurs while installation of ESX, on the Select a Disk to install or Upgrade page instead of showing a single disk with 1 TB space it is showing me 4 disks(500 GB each)....also tried with RAID 0...am getting the same problem.

Can anyone tell me if i have missed some configurations or is this a known issue on this kind of server?

Thanks.

(Attaching snaps of the configs)

Hello Dhiren,

Please verify the following

#1 Make sure that RAID cable is connected to Mezzanine / PCI adapter instead of onboard RAID controller

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/unified_computing/ucs/c/hw/C200M1/install/RAID.html#wp1015818

#2 In BIOS, set embedded RAID controller ( ICH10R ) to Enabled state and mode to Enhanced state.

#3 Launch LSI RAID option ROM utility by pressing CTRL+C and create RAID array.
