CIMC won't log external ethernet interfaces "Link Down" event

Hello,

I've a C480M5( 4.2.2a)  server with VIC1455 having all 4 ports connected to N9K switches with LACP running RHEL8. On OS side, a bond is created using 4x vNICs mapped to 4 uplinks ports.

In a recent test of a port shutdown on the switch, I could see the link state changed to "Link Down". However there was no log of this event. Shouldn't CIMC report this event in fault ?

Thanks

The vic adapter logs the link state changes in the vic logs, but you bring up a good point as a UCSM integrated setup would definitely trigger an alert.  Will check this out in the lab, and if there is no way to enable that, I will file an enhancement request.

Thanks for pointing this out.
