FI Failover after mgmt interface cable disconnects

Hi,

I am going through the build of the CIsco UCS environment, and after configuration of the FIs in HA mode, while doing testing, if I remove FI -A mgmt cable then it starts the failover to FI-B, and taking long time to do the failover, more than expected, same as the case for FI-B also, when it gets the primary role.

Both the FIs are connected with L1-L2 cables to each other,

Now I think it should not starts the failover, rather than just got unreachable from the network, not sure what is the expected result of that, some expert views?

Thanks,

Abhay

I assume you are achieving this using a Management Interface Monitoring Policy?

Have you attempted to adjust the settings to meet your environment needs?

Hi,

No The mgmt interface policy is default set, after configuration of the both FIs in HA mode, is this normal behavior of the if FI- A mgmt cable unplugged from the device then it initiate the fail over to FI - B, generally the heartbeat is there to check the health check..
