With firmware v4.0.x, the UCSM release note shows "Ethernet or FC switching modes", link below.
From datasheet, it does show feature FC Switching mode is supported...
Which one to believe then...?
Within the UCS 6200 to 6400 migration guide below, it does not really state clearly regards...Say my FI6200 (running v4.0.(4h)) does run endhost for ethernet but switch for FC. I have FC storages connected directly to the FI6200 which also does FC Zoning. Now I want to upgrade the FI pair to the FI6400, would I be able to execute migration as shown in the guide OR I had to change FI6200 FC mode back to endhost first prior connecting the FI6454?
Please advise.

I think I found my own answer...within the migration guide "Cisco UCS Manager Release 4.0(2) and later releases support Ethernet and FC switching modes on Cisco UCS 6454 Fabric Interconnects."...The limitation is due to UCS 4.0(1x)...
