We tried to install Meeting-Place 8.5.2 on svl-ucs-02 and encounter the VMware Licensing issues.
As per current Licensing provided by Cisco for Meeting-Place bundle on UCS C210-MT server, we have 8vCPU on each UCS server, but it supports only 4 vCPU for a single VM, if we try to allocate the more than 4 vCPU to single VM its doesn’t start the VM and gives the License Warning.
Below is the Minimum Hardware requirement for Meeting-Place 8.5 :-
Installing the Application Server on a Virtual Machine
If you are planning to install the Application Server on a virtual machine, then note the following:
•(Cisco UCS C210 M2 Server or UCS B-Series Server) The virtual machine must have 8 vCPU (2.66 GHz), 8 GB RAM, and a 300GB hard drive.
•(Cisco UCS C200 M2 Server) The virtual machine must have 4 vCPU (2.66 GHz), 8 GB RAM, and a 300GB hard drive.
If your virtual machine does not meet these requirements, then you will see an error message and the installation program terminates.
Note:- we tried to install with 4 vCPU and as stated above its terminates the installation process after verifying the available hardware for VM
