Does the Cisco Integrated Management Controller (CIMC) support the WS-Management (WS-MAN) SOAP-based protocol for server management? In particular, I'm wondering if the C-200 or C-250 rack servers with CIMC can be controlled (power state changes, status, SEL, etc.) using a custom management application that uses WS-MAN.
Thanks.

Cisco UCS can interact with WS-Management.
Please have a look at the following document:
Accessing and Using WS-Management
For the C Series, it was added as part of 1.2(1). Please refer to the below release notes:
Release Notes for Cisco UCS C-Series Software, Release 1.2(1)
Hope that helps out.
Thanks,
Michael

Thanks for the references.
After more research it seems what I am really seeking is SMASH 2.0 compliance.

From what I've been able to determine the CIMC only offers SMASH 1.0 which is the command-line protocol. I was hoping to have programmatic access via web service using the SMASH 2.0 standard. The only machines I've been able to find that seem to support it are Dell PowerEdge servers.
