I am trying to get the Rails for 2 C-240 servers removed from a rack but cannot figure out how to get them to release.  I have remove the servers and the rail slide but don't see how to release the locking plates in front and back.

Any ideas?

To remove the rails from a Cisco C-240 server, follow these steps:

1. First, make sure the server and rail slides have been removed from the rack, and you have access to the front and rear locking plates.

2. At the front of the rail, locate the front locking plate. You should see a small spring-loaded tab or button on the locking plate, typically on the inside of the rail.

3. Press down on the spring-loaded tab or button to release the front locking plate. While holding down the tab, gently pull the rail away from the rack to disengage the front locking plate from the rack.

4. Now, move to the rear of the rail assembly. Locate the rear locking plate, which should also have a spring-loaded tab or button on the inside of the rail.

5. Press down on the spring-loaded tab or button at the rear locking plate. While holding down the tab, gently pull the rail away from the rack to disengage the rear locking plate from the rack.

6. Once both the front and rear locking plates have been disengaged, you should be able to slide the rail assembly out of the rack. Be cautious while performing this step to avoid any injury or damage to the rails or the rack.

If you are still having trouble with the locking plates, please check the installation guide for the specific Cisco C-240 server model you are working with, as there may be slight variations between different models.
