UCS C220 M5 - Upgrade standalone servers 4.02 to 4.22a

Hi,

We are experiencing issues with upgrading our individual standard-mount rack blade UCS servers. We know of an interface on their Hyperflex that allows remote upgrades of UCS servers. Could someone provide any documentation with procedures for a similar method for upgrading the servers without Hyperflex? We will be upgrading our ESXi server to v6.7 and want to ensure there will not be any compatibility issues with the UCS.

Thanks,

Greetings.

You can use the UCS HCL to check the ESXi version, UCS, and ESXi related drivers at: https://ucshcltool.cloudapps.cisco.com/public/#

The actual upgrade process will involve putting node into maintenance mode, using vKVM, mounting HUU (firmware) ISO, and booting to that.  HUU upgrade process typically takes about 45 minutes.
