Upgrade ESXi 7.0 U2d (Cisco Images)

Hi,

We're recently purchased a FlashStack solution running vSphere 7.0 update 2a and we need to upgrade our ESXi hosts to v 7.0 update 2d to fix known SD Card reader issues.

The ESXi hosts were installed using the custom Cisco ESXi images so I'm conscious that applying the update via VMware "Lifecycle Manager" may overwrite custom Cisco drivers.

Does anyone know if there's an official document provided by Cisco on how to use "Livecycle Manager" to upgrade custom Cisco ESXi images?

Use the patch from vmware.com to upgrade.

This should keep the .vibs added by the originally installed Cisco custom, but upgrade the base VMware ESXi OS.
