I'am waiting to the new firmware. But now I see the message of Nseto: "now shows as Nov 31 as target date". In my calendar there is only 30 days in November....

I'm hoping it will be posted by the end of the year. It's going into the test phase.

Now besides my vapourware remark I find it remarkable that a firmware update, produced in something like 22 months, will be thoroughly tested in 29 days or less.......
It would be refreshing to get clearcut, straight answers for a change. Any self respecting software development department should be able to give a fairly exact release date for a firmware update if it only contains bugfixes.
The only interpretation I can make of current firmware development is that it is done as a "in between" job, without proper time and resources alotted to it.
All in all quite disappointing,
Alex

Ok, I got info on the schedule. Apparently the wrp400 and spa2102 will have their release before the spa8000 and spa3102.
Looking at this new info, it looks like some time in Q1 2011' for spa8000 and spa3102. Sorry for the delay and misinformation.

Hi, now that Q1 2011 has truly come and gone can we please have the 'new' anticipated release date for the SPA3102 firmware?

In my opinion, this will never happen.
Truly, for more than 2 years we get the runaround, and I lost my faith in Linksys/ Cisco's small business products quite some time ago (see my other posts, including the one with the "solid" promises from Cisco product managers who we never hear from again)
My advice:
Grandstream now offers the same kind of products, same pricerange but has serious user support (and firmware development) as added bonus.

Please be assured that Cisco has not abandoned the customers of the SPA3102.
The Product Team has needed to make tough business decisions regarding the development priorities for the portfolio. Delivering a firmware release that addresses the issues that some of our SPA3102 user have experienced has been elevated as a priority.
We expect a maintenance release of the SPA3102 firmware will still take a few months to develop and test, but it is a commitment that the Product Team will schedule to provide.
Our anticipated target date is mid-summer 2011.
Sincerely,
Lance Harper
Product Manager
Cisco Systems, Inc.
