Does the SPA122 ATA have an on-board TFTP server?
The documentation implies that it does.
Page 32 of the Administration Guide describes configuration of the
on-board DHCP server, particularly when the value "NONE" is selected
for the Option 66 parameter:
"The ATA uses its own TFTP server to source provisioning
files, so it returns its own local IP address to the client."
Sounds good, we could use such a facility to deliver config files to
various VoIP end devices in the local network without the need to arrange
another device to perform this task.
My attempts to find further references to the ATA's "own TFTP server"
in both the Administration Guide and Provisioning Guide were fruitless.
Further research on the web and in these fora were likewise without
result.
I did try to use a TFTP client and connect to the ATA using this
protocol. The resultant message was (as I remember) "connection failure".
Does this feature exist, or am I misunderstanding the documentation,
or is this a documentation error?
Thank you very much in advance for your help with this question.
