External line identification

When an analogue line rings, the phones display FX1 or FX2 etc as you would expect.  But, I would like them to display "Sales Line" or "Repair line" or "Customer Services" etc.

Is this possible.

Hi,

On calls where there is no caller ID available, the label of the FXO port will be displayed.  It can be edited to say Sales or Repair.

An alternative could be to route the call to a shared line designated for the sales or repair teams.

It does not quite work like that.  On the latest firmware, even if you rename teh FXO ports then when that line has an incoming call, if caller ID is not picked up it will display as fxo1 etc.

I would like the renamed FXO line name to display.  Secondly you should be able to choose to display this instead of the caller ID.
