Prevent SPA 50x answering a line when the handset is picked up

I have 10 SPA508g attached to a hosted PBX.

• The handsets are set up with EXT1 as the users personal extension number, these ring.

• The other EXT keys are assigned to various exchange lines and do not ring just flash.

• The users should be in a position to decide whether or not to answer an incoming call or not.

The problem is that if they lift the handset it automatically answerers any line that is flashing (ringing) causing a deal of confusion.

I have trawled Google and don’t seem to be able to find the answer, of course the trick is in the question :-}

Does any one know……. Please?

What I need to be able to do is tick a box the disables “Auto Answer on Off Hook” but can’t find anything like it.
