Hi All
I am looking for definitive documentation for the SPA504
I already have the Administration, user and Provisioning Guide
What I am looking for is documentation on things like:
This call waiting tone seems to be very long and intrusive - Blocking out the conversation
I would like to change it, I know where to change it (curtisy of the admin guide) but it doesn't describe the format
<Call_Waiting_Tone ua="na">440@-10;30(.3/9.7/1)</Call_Waiting_Tone>
I the attendant console and the PSK keys you can have sintax as below or fnc=xml etc
Where is the documentation to tell me what the options are and what they can do ?
<Unit_1_Key_1 ua="na">fnc=blf+sd+cp;sub=MOA-01@10.159.2.254;nme=Michael Osborne </Unit_1_Key_1>
I am having SIP subscription timeout issues, I think I might need to change the parameter below, or some others, where is the documentation defining what this parameter does.
<Reg_Max_Expires ua="na">7200</Reg_Max_Expires>
Frankly, there are a whole load of parameters in this phone that I can use to make the user experience better but no documentation that I can find
Anyone got any ideas where I can find the documentation ?
Thanks in advance
Mark

... call waiting tone ... I would like to change it, I know where to change it (curtisy of the admin guide) but it doesn't describe the format <Call_Waiting_Tone ua="na">440@-10;30(.3/9.7/1)</Call_Waiting_Tone>
Then you have a hacked version of Administrators Guide. On the original one, the chapter named Scripting for Cadences, Call Progress tones, and Ring Tones (the first sub-paragraph of Configuring Regional Parameters and Supplementary Services section) describe the format in depth details.
I the attendant console and the PSK keys you can have sintax as below or fnc=xml etc Where is the documentation to tell me what the options are and what they can do ?
Original version of Administrators Guide. Various paragraphs. Start at Configuring Lines and read even the following paragraphs. But as it seems you want to know "everything", you should just read complete guide as well as unenumerable pile of other documents.
there are a whole load of parameters in this phone
In this phone AND particular firmware version ? Yes. Just save the current configuration and read it.
where I can find the documentation
Assuming you read all those documents mentioned in right column (SPA IP Phones Resources widget) it this forum main page as well as all documents attached to this forum as well those document and resources mentioned in all those documents, i have only further advice to you - Use Google, Luke ;-)

Hi Dan
Thanks for the reply,
Call progress Tones - Yes it is there - Helps if the dummies know what they are searching for - my bad
Softkeys - I was really looking for something that said the options for fnc= are...
What I see here is an example for ....
But thank you for the direction.
Saving the config, tells me the options are available, but what I wanted was a consolidated manual on what each setting does.
Anyway, thanks for your help

There is no comprehensive list of all fnc= variants with complete description of each of them available as far as I know. So you need to search for description and/or examples for any particular one. In the fact, the Google is most helpful toll here, despite it mostly refer a Cisco document back. There is just so much documents and they are so unsorted ...
Saving the config, tells me the options are available, but what I wanted was a consolidated manual on what each setting does.
If I would say true ...
... you are welcome to create such one.
Don't make so much hope that the Cisco will do it.
