Hello
Does your UC320 have access to "the cloud" in order to convert the file to the correct format?. The WAN interface will need an internet connection.. Appologies if you have already done this but just an idea.
Good luck

Hi Matt,
No its not connected to the cloud, does it only have to be connected for the file conversion or are there other things that may be affected ?. The customer does not want to use VoIP for now and their IT guys dont want it connected to their network.
Thanks for your quick response

Hi,
It will need to be connected to the Internet at least temporarily to send the file to the cloud for conversion then to install the cloud converted file. As long as they aren't changing the file daily, this can be done. However, there are other benefits to being connected all the time such as correct time of day provided by the Internet, new firmware update notifications upon launch of the Configuration Utility, quick links to support community documents etc.

Thanks Chris,
Can you have the LAN and WAN on the same subnet ?

Good question. No, you can not. If you have another router providing Internet access, people will typically either create another VLAN (and subnet) on that router, associate it with a particular LAN port and connect the UC320W WAN. Another common scenario is if your Internet router has a DMZ capability that uses a different subnet, people will plug the UC320W WAN port into the DMZ port.
Hope this helps.
Chris
