UC540 Web GUI stopped working

The webgui was working previously but now when I go to http://UC540-IP/ccme.html I get the logon prompt but after logging on I get the blue/gray background with "View Window" in the upper left and nothing else.

I've tried http, https, and both with IE and Firefox.  Same results.

Any ideas?

Hello,

Please remove the quotation marks under each of the directory entry under telephony-service section.

e.g.:

directory entry 1 011442392314524 name "Andrew McQuilken" should look like

directory entry 1 011442392314524 name Andrew McQuilken

etc.

Best regards,

Alex

I would verify with another computer first just to make sure.

I tryed it out and it's not working on other pcs either.

Same result from 10.1.10.1?

??

That IP is not in my environment.

10.1.10.1 is an address used by CUE.  If you configured your system with CCA, it would be built in for you.  The files for the webpage are on flash and unless changes were made, you shouldn't have an issue.  Did you manually built the system via CLI or did you use CCA?

Hi gmgarrian,

I think what Marcus is asking is, can you tell us what you Data subnet is (VLAN) and your CUE subnet is (Possibly the loopback as well).

And it is important if we know if the system was configured with CLI or CCA, as it could prevent us from just stabbing in the dark

Cheers,

David.

This system was initially set up via CCA but final tweaking was done by CLI so I'm just using CLI going forward.

The webgui for the UC540 is IP address 192.168.1.35 and CUE is 192.168.1.36.

I can log onto CUE with no problems.

I've attached the output from flash.  Also, the web gui was working previously.

What is the http path in your configuration?

ip http server

ip http authentication local

ip http secure-server

ip http path flash:/gui

As a last step, try clearing the cache on your browser.  If that didn't work try the following steps. Reload the router and check the gui again. Then if that failed I would erase those gui files, create a tar file and extract them back onto flash.

Hi  gmgarrian

OK Can you please provide us with a running configuration with all the sensitive stuff removed I.E passwords and usernames (Even the encrypted ones).

It would appear you are running a flat network configuration and you have only a single VLAN operational, the system also appears to be a CLI configured box as your flash directory resembles that of an older system, the structure of it is not in the same fashion as what CCA builds it too.

CLI configured systems require time to look over the config and work out its intended configuration, if you can post it up that would be great

David.

I've attached the config.  I'm going to re-upload the gui files to see if that helps anything.

First it would be best to erase or blank out any passwords or static ip's addresses in your config.

Secondly, your config is quite different from what CCA prescribes and Cisco's best practices for CME on an ISR.  It looks like you started off with CCA and then did everything else with CLI.  I don't see any DHCP pools for your phones, there is no voice vlan, your CUE module should have a /30 address, your IP source address is on Vlan 1 and you deleted all your other interfaces that had firewall rules applied to them.  ACL 101 which is applied to your WAN interface does not allow any return traffic aside from 443.

There are so many things wrong about the config.  To fix your immediate issue the proper way would require changing around 25% of your config.  Again I would seriously consider doing a factory reset and running through the telephony setup wizard which would fix this issue and everything else.

Remember CCA is your friend

Unfortunately I was given this project late in the game and I don't have the opportunity to do a factory reset.

As for your concerns:

1. DHCP is handed out by the server.

2. Correct, no voice vlan, design choice based on non-Cisco switches in the environment.

3. CUE module mask.  Not sure why on this one.

4. IP source on Vlan 1. Not sure on this either.  Significance?

5. ACL 101 is only for remote VPN phones.  User web traffic go out a separate link.

Uploading the gui files did not fix the access issue. Other than a factory reset do you have any suggestions on how to get the gui working?
