[VPN ASA-5585] Factory default configuration Failed

BAEK_1027
Level 1
Level 1

Hi,

When I tried to reset VPN to the factory default configuration, it always failed as follows.

1) File > Reset device to the factory default configuration in ASDM menu,

I cannot proceed next step after I input the management IP/Subnet and YES.

After 5mins, error message popped up as follows.

[ Error in sending command ]

ASDM received messages below when one or more of the commands below were sent to the ASA. [OK] means success, [ERROR] means failure, [INFO] means information and [WARINING] means warning message received.

"configure factory-default 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0"
but there is no any [OK] or [ERROR] or [INFO] or [WARNING]. I can see just "Resend", "Close".

When I clicked resend, this same situation repeated.

so, I checked H/W in sight and I found all port looks like blocking (all rights turn off).

And when I tried to connect "console" port, light cannot be on. so cannot connect as well.

Finally, I turn off and on power switch and all configuration restored automatically (I think it didn't configure factory-default) so I tried to restore again with following command but It was also failed.

1) #write erase

Result of the command: "write erase"

Erase configuration in flash memory? [confirm]
[FAILED]

2) #clear config all

that time all port became blocking and cannot restore before I turn off/on the power switch

3) #configure factory-default 192.168.1.1 255.255.255.0

Result is the same with above result (there is no result log and any progressing. all port blocked)

Can anyone help me how can I do factory default configuration except above ways or which log(or configuration) I should check to do factory default configuration?

Result of the command: "show flash"
