Core Issue

If the Allow Saved LEAP Username and Password parameter is not configured correctly, the Cisco Access Point (AP) can encounter association problems. Sometimes the client running LEAP authentication fails to connect when the client enters the username and password for it. This happens because the LEAP Saved Username and Password option forces the client to use this username and password, which is stored within the actual Aironet Desktop Utility (ADU) program.

Resolution

For more information about this issue, refer to the Security Modules section of Installed Components Tab.

For initial configuration of the client adapters, refer to the Cisco Aironet 802.11a/b/g Wireless LAN Client Adapters (CB21AG and PI21AG) Installation and Configuration Guide, OL-4211-03.
