    Introduction

    You might get this message when you try to upgrade the Client Firmware and Utility.

    Resolution

    Upgrade the BIOS in the laptop if possible. Downgrade the firmware and utility and see if it is fine. Also check for the features that were working before downgrading.

    If this doesn't work try it in a different laptop.

    Note: If the client adapter doesn't support WEP then LEAP doesn't work.

    Error messages that may occur during LEAP authentication

    Error Message
    Cannot find a wireless adapter that supports WEP. Please make sure that you have installed the correct client adapter and purchased WEP support.
    
    Explanation
    LEAP authentication failed because the client adapter does not support WEP.
    
    Recommended Action
    Make sure that you have installed the correct client adapter or upgrade the adapter for WEP support.

     

    Error Message
    Cannot find a wireless adapter that supports LEAP. Please make sure that you have installed the correct client adapter and updated your firmware.
    
    Explanation
    LEAP authentication failed because the client adapter’s firmware does not support LEAP.
    
    Recommended Action
    Follow the instructions in the “Upgrading the Firmware” to install the latest client adapter firmware.
