After reading multiple articles i am here to get my understanding correct and confirmed. It is CAPWAP access point
Requirement: Flexconnect Local switching
1) I have a SSID "corprate_network" configured with FlexConnect option as "FlexConnect Local Switching"
2) CAPWAP accesspoints are configured as AP Mode as "LOCAL"
Will the clients can associate with SSID can work in Flexconnect mode doing local switching?

Hi Sairam,
Yes,that's correct.
Pls go ahead & test it yourself & let us know. Below deployment guide will help you understand FlexConnect design & deployment concepts

2) CAPWAP accesspoints are configured as AP Mode as "LOCAL"
In order for local switching, AP mode should be "FlexConnect" not "LOCAL"
if your SSID is configured for "Local Switching" then only FlexConnect mode AP will terminate traffic locally at the AP. All LOCAL mode AP will switch traffic centrally back to WLC. No impact on the local mode AP, even SSID configured for "Local Switching"

Thanks Rasika. below is my understanding after reading your notes.
If SSID is configured as FLEXCONNECT LOCAL SWITCHING
if the AP Mode is LOCAL mode = Traffic goes all the way to WLC and switching happens (MAC address of the client learns in WLC connected switch)
if the AP Mode is FLEXCONNECT mode = Switching happens in local switch where AP is connected (MAC address of the client learns in AP connected switch)
If you confirm, i will do the real time testing as well. Thanks in advance
