WLC9800 - Serial Filtering can be used for client device too?

Hello Professionals,

I have SSID-User WLAN with mac filtering authentication and it works well.
However, we recently bought new PDAs  with randomize mac features so we can't use SSID-User wifi.
Even though we disable 'randomize mac' feature from PDA, once it reboot or factory reset, it is automatically enabled.

For this reason, I would like to create SSID-PDA WLAN with mac filtering with new AAA - Serial Filtering.
Also provided L2 security to be Serial_Filtering. 

If I put Serial number to AAA Advanced - Device authentication - Serial Number.
Would it be worked? 
If no, that's because Serial number authentication is limited to AP join?
