IE3400 SFP compatibility question

I’m going to use the IE-3400. The compatible SFPs are listed here:

The same goes for Cisco’s Optics Compatibility Matrix

However, only Cisco SFPs are shown—can I use third-party SFPs? Will they work properly?

Cisco does not test third-party optics in its products. You can use them in Cisco products, but if you run into an issue that does not occur with Cisco-branded optics, you must contact the third-party vendor for support. TAC will not troubleshoot issues with third-party optics in scenarios where Cisco-branded optics function properly.
