Hello,
I’m currently researching EMI retrain behavior and adoption in ACI environments. From what I’ve observed, most ACI-based sites do not actively utilize this feature, which is why I'm turning to the community for insight.
We are running:
Application Policy Infrastructure Controller (APIC)
Version: 5.2(8i)
I have several questions regarding EMI retrain, specifically in relation to N9K-C93108TC-FX3 and N9K-C93108TC-FX3P switches:
-
Is there any way (via CLI or GUI) to verify how EMI-induced noise is being filtered and whether link retraining has occurred?
-
Are there measurable improvements before and after enabling the EMI retrain feature?
-
When exactly will EMI retrain be supported on N9K-C93108TC-FX3 or FX3P (if not already)?
-
What is the recommended approach to enable EMI retrain on systems where it is currently disabled?
-
For environments like ours (switches installed in an IDC), are there best practices for either using EMI retrain or preventing EMI issues altogether?
-
If any documentation, release notes, or reference use cases exist, could you please share them?
Any technical input or field experience would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance!
