We are doing bootp auto provisioning for the SRP52x range and using the admin user as the remote management user and the local user using the Cisco user for their local access.
This is fine, however since we have already preconfigured the device we don not want the user to go into the setup wizard when they logon as they will / could incorrectly configured the device and undfo the auto config process.
So the question is this, can we toggle off the wizard through config, if not how we do turn off the wizard so we stop the cisco user when logging on for the first re setting up the device and possibly undoing our config.

Go to Administration > User Privilege Control, and you can make read only or completely hide any of the GUI screens from the cisco user on a screen by screen basis. This also includes the quick setup screens.
Cheers,
Dave.

Hi Dave,
No sorry, we had tried that already. We had set the user priv control for quick setup to all features "hidden". If you log on to the device with Cisco credentials it launches the setup wizard everytime

Sorry, my bad - For some reason I was thinking about the Quick Setup pages... :(
Looks like a new feature, but a completely reasonable one. Let me talk to the product team about it and see what can be done.
Cheers,
Dave.

No worries Dave, thought I was going mad when you posted that,
Ask Jay, if I can have it by Friday thanks :)

Hi Phil,
Somehow I don't think we'll quite make it by Friday. ;)
We're treating this problem as a bug, and I'll add the bugid to the thread once I have it. No ETA for a fix at this point though.
Cheers,
Dave.

Thanks for the update

Do you have any feedback on if this is going to looked at and possibly when it would be implemented ?

Sorry Phil, yes I did get an update on this and forgot to post. The intention is to address this with what we refer to as the phase 1.5 software, which will release in conjunction with the SRP540s late this calendar year. Sorry it can't be sooner, but as it turns out, there are a few different interlocking issues here that we really want to nail all at once.
Cheers,
Dave.

Thats not what I was hoping for , we have been doing a bit more testing with this and this actually stops us deploying with the device as the general customer on first logon is almost certainly going to break the auto provisoing and take the plug and play service offline.
(our customers are new home customers and the device needs to be Plug and Play for deployment as it is fixed line replacement)

Hi David,
Just checking in to see if any update around this, I know you have said it will coincide with the 541 realese latter in the year , but was wondering if any more update info around this

Hi Phil,
My understanding is that this is still slated for phase 1.5, and we are still several months off from that being available I'm afraid. That firmware will be available on the 540s at the time they ship, but the 520 version of the software will take a little longer I'm afraid. Last information I had on this was the end of the calendar year, but Jay or Andy are the authorities here.
Cheers,
Dave.
