Hello everyone,
This weekend, i had a scheduled shutdown of both data centers (DC-1 and DC-2) due to substation and UPS maintenance. I restarted the two data centers, i started with the main data center (DC-1) and restarted the following hardware in the following sequence: Catalyst 6500 (1 device) Nexus 9K (1 device) FEX 2K (7 devices) I expected the FEX 2K to retrieve the settings from the DC-1's Nexus 9K and come online, but this didn't happen. The uplink ports, where the Nexus 9Ks are physically connected, on all seven FEX 2Ks simply had an orange LED. The FEX 2Ks only returned to operation when the DC-2 Nexus was restarted. Due to this strange behavior, we would like to know if this behavior is normal or if there is any setting that can change this behavior.
I saw that the configuration of vPC domain, does not have the auto-recovery. The auto-recovery solve this issue ?
vPC current configuration:
vpc domain 2
peer-switch
role priority 110
peer-keepalive destination 172.21.2.4 source 172.21.2.5
delay restore 150
