Got a 9513 running SAN-OS 3.2(3a) as the priciple switch of the fabric. recently, I just add a new 9222i into the fabric.using port channel to connect to the core. when I add a new zone member and activate the zoneset, it noticed:
SFBXMSW001:Activating XM_20080108
SFBXMSW001:checking status, elapsed time:0 sec activating XM_20080108
SFBXMSW001:checking status, elapsed time:3 sec activating XM_20080108
SFBXMSW001:checking status, elapsed time:6 sec activating XM_20080108
SFBXMSW001:XM_20080108 Activation failed on VSAN:1 Reason: fabricChange , domain id:104
SFBXMSW001:Finished
Failed
does any body know what's the problem is?

Hello
Is this the 1st bit of zoning you have done since adding the new switch?
What device has the domain ID of 104?

hi,steven
yes, this is the 1st zone since I add the new switch. And the device has the domain ID 104 is the new switch.
by now, if I shutdown the port channel between two switches, then I could activate the zoneset. and after that, I no shutdown the port, the activated zoneset is automatically synchronize to the new switch. So I did I missed, so that the zoneset can't activated when the new switch join the fabric?

Hi,
So, you still have issue when you re-activate port channel b/ween both switches? Also, are you using default VSAN (VSAN 1) for zoning?
Thanks,
Nisar
