It sits at the perimeter of the network so all traffic traverses through it.

Hi Marvin, thanks for responding so promptly. That makes sense and it brings about 2 additional questions for me. If it is normal behavior for the ASA to use up so much CPU , then is it also normal for it to occasionally reach 100% and trigger a fail...

I'm having similar issues with our Firepower 2140 running ASA on top of FXOS, no FTD. Is it normal for it to run at 70-95% cpu during busy hours and hover around 19-25% during low traffic hours?
