I was thinking of changing the management IP address since the ASA IP needs to be changed.  Plus, whenever I needed to access the console, I could plug it into the switch and access it from anywhere on the network.Is that advisable?

After typing inhttp 172.16.1.0 255.255.255.0 management Then I went to the managament interface and typed inip address 172.16.1.3 255.255.255.0 and now I get an error:  Interface address is not on same subnet as DHCP pool

Oh...sorry I'm typing inhttp 172.16.1.3 255.255.255.0 management How would I assign the port a static address then?  Would http 172.16.1.0 255.255.255.0 management give it a static ip?

I typed in http 172.16.x.x 255.255.255.0 management That's when I get the IP address and netmask inconsistent message
