We have 2 Cisco 5545s in an HA/failover configuration. One has an ‘Active’ light on, the other does not...is this normal? Does it mean the one with the light on is currently 'Active' member of HA pair?
That's just it, I can't find anything on Cisco site OR the web pertaining to that Alarm light..very strange. Which is why I tried the Cisco forum of experts. Thanks again for taking the time to respond..always appreciated!

Okay, so your saying the light labelled 'Alarm' being on/red for Standby device in an Active/Standby config is normal then?Usually the word 'Alarm' would signify more then just a status...but this is Cisco I guess. tx
