Routing packets in/out of the same interface is known as hair-pinning. This is not supported in 6.x or previous versions, but you can enable it on PIX 7.xHTH
The only method that I have found is to upgrade the software image using tftp; in short, this requires:CTRL+R during boot-upUses rommon (same as PIX) and you will need to upgrade the IDS image.Will reset to cisco/cisco.
