We havetwo options:
Option 1:
1.Insertthis flash card onto an other 2800 router which is up and running and thenformat the flash , copy the image again onto the flash.
2.Thenput back the flash onto this router and reboot it.
3.If notboot-up, do you have a backup flash card use it on this 2800 router and runningit to confirm this card issus.
Option 2:
1.Bypassthe flash card and load the image directly onto the DRAM.
2.Theprocedure for that is mentioned below.
3.Connecta PC to the first Ethernet port of the router. And then assign an ip address tothat LAN port on the PC.
4.The PCshould have any tftp server software on it.
5.Bringthe router into rommon mode
6.Thenissue the following commands
a) IP_ADDRESS=
b) IP_SUBNET_MASK=
e) TFTP_FILE=
f) set
g) tftpdnld -r ( before issuing this command makesure that on the tftp server the server interface is selected as the ip addressof this LAN )
7.Theabove commands are case sensitive.
8.Thiswill bring back the router without using flash. Please don't reload the
router inthe mean time.
9.Oncethe router comes up we can format the flash and then do the tftp transfer of
the imageagain onto the flash.
