Hi, I understand that if I have a DHCP server inside of the fabric then I need to configure a DHCP relay. However, if for the purposes of migration the DHCP server remains outside of the fabric then do I still need to make changes. We will be moving a server on VLAN 10 with an EPG extension for that VLAN, the SVI remains outside of the fabric where the helper addresses are currently configured and the DHCP server is on VLAN 100 also outside of ACI. There is an L3 out also.
Many thanks,
Jonathan

If the server in VLAN 10 can reach the SVI on the External swtich via EPG extension (L2 static path), then it will still leverage the helper addresses on the external switch. Only when you remove the L2 EPG extension (and rely solely on L3 from that point onward) would you need to configure DHCP relay on the Bridge Domain for VLAN 10 within ACI.

Hi Robert,
That is what seemed to make sense when I thought about it, but I just wasn't sure.
Thank you for taking the time out to reply, I appreciate it.
