ACI Peer Gateway feature for VPC

Hello Everyone,

In Cisco ACI, the VPC Peer-Gateway feature is DISABLED by default.

How to enable it as there is no reference about how to do it. Also why it is not enabled and configurable like Nexus switches?, as it is needed for scenarios requires this feature for forwarding without an extra hop.

This is a reference about it in Nexus switches if you want to know more about what it does and how it works:

Thank you.

Hi @Mustafa Nassef ,

ACI implements VPC in a way that makes VPC peer gateway redundant and unnecessary. When a VPC pair of switches is created, ACI creates an anycast IP address from the VTEP pool and assigns the anycast IP to both switches.

This is the BEST video about ACI on the Internet: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYfpY0sJOfg it will explain all you need to know, but if you don't have time to sit through that, read this https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/solutions/collateral/data-center-virtualization/application-centric-infrastructure/aci-guide-vpc.pdf
