Cisco ACI IPN Configuration for Multi-Pod

I need to create Multi-Pod environment in my company. In Pod1 I have 2 leafs 9396PX and 2 spine 9336PQ switches. For Pod2 I have 1 spine 9336PQ and 2 leafs 9396PX.

My question is: Can I directly connect 2 spine switches in Pod1 to the one spine switch in Pod2 instead of creation IPN with supported switches and routers.

Best regards

In a multi-pod architecture, you need to have at least one L3 device between spines because of the multicast requirement for inter-pod BUM traffic.  If that's not an option, then you can look at doing a "stretched fabric" design, where a transit leaf (or leafs) is connected to spines at both sites.
