Cisco ACI simulator question

I am very new to Cisco ACI. I have configured the Cisco ACI simulator 4.2(7l) with all the defaults. I followed the first time set up and successfully registered 2 leaf switches and 1 spine switch. All are active and healthy. However, I want to change one of the leafs to be remote. I tried clearing the config and starting over. When I click to register a leaf, I check off the "is remote" box hoping that it will force this leaf to be a remote one. It never completes registering and continually shows "discovering" under the action column.

2 questions: Is it possible to add a remote leaf to the simulator? If so, how do I do it?

Hi @nicmyswitch ,

Welcome to the forum.

I'm sad to say that the answer to your question 1:

Is it possible to add a remote leaf to the simulator? If so, how do I do it?

is unfortunately - "No"

So Q2 doesn't get a ticket to start being answered.

But setting up a remote leaf is a lot more work than checking the [x] Is Remote option!

You must first configure L3 connectivity between your spine(s) and the remote location!  The official Cisco guide is pretty hard to read, so I stole this picture from here
