No additional licenses are needed for uSeg, regardless of whether you use the VDS or AVE. There is licensing associated with the AVE if you are using it as part of a Virtual Pod (vPod) only; if you are using it in conjunction with physical leafs, there is no cost. I'm fairly certain that everything related to microsegmentation is actually included in the base license. Your Advantage licenses allow you to use physical remote leafs and multi-site, as well as features from the Essentials license such as multi-pod.
