Hi,
We are using Cisco ACE 4710 for load balancing the servers. The predictor used is 'least connections'.
Have observed the below;
The number of connections for a particular server in a serverfarm is 15 in the Cisco ACE.
The actual number of users in that server is 6.
All the users access using the VIP.
Still i couldn't understand why there is difference in the number of users in the server and the load balancer statistics.
Would appreciate your help.
Thanks,
Ranga

Hello Ranga!
Your ACE counts the number of TCP-connections. The ACE does not know about the number of users in your application.

Hello Marko,
Thanks for your response. Just correct whether my understanding is correct ?
Termianl server VIP ---> 4 physical servers TS. TS1, TS2, TS3 and TS4.
When a user logins to the VIP, the user is directed to any one of the physical server ex. TS2 ( a TCP connection ).
So each time a user logs in using the VIP, it hits the physical server. The count in LB should match the users in the physical TS.
Correct me if my understanding is wrong ?
Thanks,
Ranga
