CSS and the Server/Application State Protocol (SASP)

Hi,

In a global load balancing project, I need to report more accurate load information to the GSS as the CSS can report natively via KAL-AP (load based on response time). The new protocol SASP, developped by IBM and Cisco should allow to inform the CSS abour server load, using the workload manager agent on the real servers. However, in a global load balancing environment, this load information should be transmitted to the GSS via KAL-AP...here is my question : can the CSS aggregate all information received by the SASP protocol and send the result to the GSS ?

If not, what is the design best practice to do this ?

Thank you

Yves

I think the CSS can aggregate all information that it recieved from the SASP prtocol and send the result to the GSS. Using the CSS to aggregate information is the best way and the only way to accomplish this.

Tnak you for your answer. In the CSS configuration guide, the CSS is talking with a SASP Agent (Global Workload Manager). Do you know what this box is ? is it a separate server ?
